Back on topic – ever wondered where you should be buying your domain names? Maybe you’ve had a less than satisfactory experience with your current domain name registrar? In this article, I am going to supply you with five different domain name registrars that you could purchases your next domain name with.

Namecheap ➧

With over one million customers, Namecheap can boast that it is one of the top domain name registrars. There’s a reason for this too – the service Namecheap offers is excellent.  Their mission is “to provide an unparalleled level of service and support to [our] clients” and they “strive to offer intuitive, simple products at the best value in the industry”. They do exactly what they say; customer service is excellent. They are one of few brands who really make use of social media and use it well to interact with customers and offer support. They offer a wide variety of domain name extensions, as well as offering various other services such as web hosting.

EuroDNS ➧

EuroDNS earns itself a place on this list due to its sheer amount of domain name extensions it has available for purchase. A visually brilliant website is a massive plus as browsing for domain names is a breeze. The thirty six strong team have built strong relationships with over ninety registries worldwide, which means they are able to bring you extensions from every corner of the globe. Excellent customer service is also a great quality that EuroDNS holds, and having a wide number of nationalities in their team is great for supporting the buyers of over three hundred and fifty domain name extensions.

InternetBS ➧ is a registrar I used when I first started my online adventure. While the website doesn’t look as flashy and professional as some other registrars, what does offer is excellent support, and excellent prices! You can grab yourself a .com domain name from just $8.49, which is substantially cheaper than many other top registrars. This is why makes my top five domain name registrars to choose.

GoDaddy ➧

GoDaddy is proudly bragging that they are the number one supplier of domain names and web hosting worldwide – they have over fifty five million domain names under their management and over twelve million customers. Pretty impressive, right? 24/7/365 customer support is something few businesses are able to offer to its customers, but GoDaddy does it in its typical “kick ass” style. Many TV and Super Bowl ads show that GoDaddy means business, and they have the stats to prove it. GoDaddy is offering its customers over one hundred new domain extensions that are due to come out this year, and at affordable rates, too.

Name ➧

Like GoDaddy, is offering brand new domain extensions to its users on a pre-order basis. A simple to navigate website makes finding your next domain name painless. They claim that “nobody does customer support better than us” and their various domain name tools such as a list showing expiring domains come in really handy for any budding webmaster.

So that wraps up my list of the top five domain name registrars. Is your current registrar on this list? Or would you like to suggest another? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

  • Dean Mclaughlin

Great list, I personally only use namecheap and dynadot for new registrations. Dynadot is great for domain extensions such as .so and .be 🙂

    • Jamie Dąbrowiecki

Dynadot has some pretty cool tools too, I believe?

  • Grimm

Very good list. I think the best out of this list would have to be NameCheap. I have to agree with what Jamie said about excellent customer service. Their prices are also extremely affordable. By far my favorite web host.

    • Jamie Dąbrowiecki

Thanks Grimm. Have you used any other registrars?

  • milksheikh

I think namecheap is the best domain registrar out there. They allow unverified paypal accounts which is awesome! They also have amazing support, and services.

    • Jamie Dąbrowiecki

Have you used any other registrars?

  • I prefer Namecheap as they have great support and it’s also quite cheap. Their coupons are great and when they have $1 domain days it’s awesome!

    • Jamie Dąbrowiecki

      Everyone loves $1 domains!

  • Dusan

I prefer Namecheap and GoDaddy, they are both great, and have great support. They have also cheap stuff.

    • I’ve heard negative things about GoDaddy – would you recommend them?

  • kingcool52

I also prefer Namecheap as I used GoDaddy once but I think that NameCheap is just cheaper and they also gave me free whois protection which GoDaddy offered for extra cash!

  • Giorgios

I’ve never used EuroDNS and InternetBS, but recently I’ve heard EuroDNS’s name being thrown around quite a lot. But for the other two, I’m a die hard Namecheap fan, you just can’t go wrong with their prices. However, GoDaddy does also do some might fine coupons, just can’t compete with Namecheap though. 😉
